What is at stake

If your workforce is international and your severance support is generic, that gap is visible — to your employees, to your board, and on review platforms. This is especially true in tech, where Product, Engineering, and commercial talent talk — on LinkedIn, in Slack communities, and at industry meetups.

Employees who feel unsupported after an exit are more likely to challenge termination terms, prolonging the process for your HR team and increasing legal risk.
Glassdoor and Kununu ratings drop following terminations and take up to two years to recover — affecting your ability to attract the next hire.

International professionals face a different kind of job search.

Tech professionals lose jobs far away from home. A Product Manager from Warsaw, a Data Engineer from Bangalore, a UX Designer from São Paulo — each navigating a German job market that wasn't built with them in mind. Weaker professional networks, CVs formatted for the wrong market, unfamiliarity with German hiring norms — these are structural barriers, not confidence gaps. Without targeted support, a transition that should take three months takes six or nine.

Career Compass — 8 sessions, fully 1:1

Career Compass provides a clear and actionable process for getting back on the job market. It starts where most job searches fail — not with the CV, but with clarity. From there it moves into positioning, CV and LinkedIn rebuilt for the German market, job search tools, network building, and interview mastery — so by the time your employee is in front of a hiring manager, they know exactly what they bring and how to say it.

15 years on both sides of the table.

I am Alicja Copija, a Berlin-based career coach. Before running this practice, I spent 15 years in HR and Talent Acquisition leadership at German and European tech companies. I conducted over 5,000 interviews and made over 1,000 hiring decisions.

I am also an international professional who built a career in Germany. I know what it feels like to navigate a system that was not designed with you in mind. I work exclusively with international professionals in the German tech market. That focus is deliberate.
